Disney with Toddlers Who Love Princesses

For toddlers who love princesses, Walt Disney World offers a magical experience with opportunities to meet and interact with their favorite characters. Here are our suggestions for where to stay, where to eat and the best attractions for a princess-themed trip.

Where to Stay: Accommodations Fit For a Princess (or Prince)

Staying at a Disney resort means you’ll be immersed in the Disney magic throughout your trip. Two options stand above the rest when it comes to princess theming.

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
This resort features themed rooms inspired by Disney movies, including The Little Mermaid. The area where these rooms are located is fully themed with larger-than-life statues of favorite characters from the classic movie. You can also enjoy the immersive themes throughout the other sections of the resort, including The Lion King and Cars.

This is also one of our recommendations for Best Hotels For Toddlers!

Dining for Royalty

Disney World offers a few options for character dining with princesses. All three are very popular options and reservations are recommended as walk-up lists are never guaranteed. Reservations can be made through the My Disney Experience app 60 days ahead of your stay or visit.

Pro Tip: If you’re unable to snag a reservation 60 days out, don’t lose hope. Often, reservations can pop up a day or two before – when others cancel within the cancellation window. Check back frequently during that time.

Character meet and greet times and availability can be found in the My Disney Experience App. From the park map, filter for Characters to see who is nearby and when they can be expected to be there.

Additionally, be sure to keep an eye out for special events and parades that may feature princesses during your visit.

Remember, experiences and offerings may change over time, so it’s always a good idea to check the official Walt Disney World website or consult with a Disney travel specialist for the most up-to-date information.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique: The Ultimate Princess Experience

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Magic Kingdom is the ultimate experience for the princess-lover. Children can be transformed into princesses or knights with the help of Fairy Godmothers-in-Training. While the experience is primarily targeted towards children aged 3 and up, toddlers can also participate.

It’s important to consider your toddler’s personality, comfort level, and ability to sit still for an extended period during the styling session. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique involves hairstyling, makeup, and costume accessories, which may not be suitable for all toddlers, especially those who are easily overwhelmed or have sensory sensitivities.

If your toddler is excited about dressing up as a princess and enjoys playful interactions, they may have a delightful experience. Alternatively, you may bring your own dress for your little one and bring her to the Boutique for some magic fairy dust!
